The "Illinois" album has actually grown on me. I think you have to be in the right mood for everything to really click, but it's still overrated, IMO.
Having said that, "Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah" has started to wear thin as well as the novelty of their minimalist songs. Oh, and the vocals are really starting to grate - not because they're eccentric but because it seems a little TOO affected.
I think I overestimated MIA. "Arular" is still an interesting fusion of styles, but while it's cool to see her take on some ambitious, socially relevant themes that are seldom covered in American music, I'm not sure she has anything compelling to say about them.
So I'm thinking:
1. LCD Soundsystem
2. Common: Be
3. Kanye West: Late Registration
4. Sleater-Kinney: The Woods
5. Spoon: Gimme Fiction
6. The New Pornographers: Twin Cinema
7. The White Stripes: Get Behind Me Satan
8. MIA: Arular
9. Sufjan Stevens: Illinois
10. DangerDoom: The Mouse And The Mask
