A modest proposal: If you (no particular you, just a general you) want to argue about SC, why not do it over at SC? I'm sure the last thing anyone here wants is yet another "Is it a waste of time to make fun of SHtv?" flame war. This one's what, the 485th? The Snakepit was created because of one, and closed because of another. Read your Santayana.

On the other hand, SC lives for that sort of thing. Take it over there.

COLA, do you honestly believe that *everyone* at SHTV is a "SHite?" I've probably posted there 500-600 times myself over the past THREE years - hardly what I would call cult-like behavior. It wasn't intended as an ultimatum - just some observations and perhaps a hope of some restraint on your part regarding the targeted mean-spiritedness that I noticed at SC. I figured it was worth a try. My mistake...live and learn. As far as my trolling goes, I try and balance it with an on-topic contribution or two from time to time. I think Luke's well aware of this.

For what it's worth, I probably own 15 Elton John CD's (I like his 69-73 period). If I had made sound quality comments on a COLA-approved artist would I be spared your trademark sarcasm? Furthermore, I don't own an expensive stereo or a "Sack-Dee" player. Nor, do I know much about matrix numbers and hot stampers. Does this help remove the scarlet SHTV from me that I apparently have acquired from posting there? It seems to be that it's not so much the anal retentive behavior of SHTV that stokes you; The same stuff goes on here and we've been forgiven. But rather that they're talking Elton, and not Eno. No?

I have to agree that it's probably not a good idea to continue this on Luke's site. So, I'll receive your return shots and then bow out. Continue on with your crusade if it pleases you. At worst, I've given you a wealth of new sig lines for your future daily SC updates.

Listen, mate. YOU started this. YOU hijacked this Eroc (remember him?) thread -- at Luke's site at that. A thread in which the various participating SC members were taking seriously. (Does that satisfy you?) I have no problem listening to your rants. You want to participate in the prog tourney? Fine. You want different sorts of topics at SC? Then fucking post them there. Whoever said you couldn't? You won't get gorted, don't worry.

Just do all of that at SC, not here. You want an engraved invitation? Here it is, then. You're more than welcome to post there all you want.
