Maybe we should include special "Xenu's Favorite Eroc Remasters" and "Mike Hunte's Most Favourite Mind-Blowing Grobschnitt Drum Solos" sub-categories in the tourney.

Mr. apple blathered on the shithole:

"tweaking York Hunt:
I thought maybe it was all that cocaine. It's an anaesthetic you know.
Might want to cut back,. And eat a hamburger for god's sake. You're so thin it's scary."

Drugs are for losers. Thin? For shame Mr. twapple! May your body never be ravaged with illness!

I'd prefer a "Xenu's Favorite Japanese Labels Named After Fictional Plagues" category.

COLA posed this question over at his shithole:

Seriously! Why the clamor for Beatles remasters?

Yeah, I know, they were bigger than Jesus and Dylan combined ... They soundtracked an entire generation's potty training sessions ... "All Together Now" and "Martha My Dear" put an end to the wars in Biafra and Vietnam ... Grandpa needs shiny new discs to spend his money on something before he kicks it....

BUT....

A few days ago, I finally got around to actually listening to the Capitol Box FLACs I downloaded some months back. It only reminded me how SHIT these recordings actually are. I'm not talking about musical quality, although I think most of these Scouser toe-tappers sound about as virile as Herman's Hermits mildly buzzed on cider. What I mean is, from a pure sonic standpoint, these polite little productions really sound like crap crowned with a fuzzy halo. And it's not just the early stuff either. Revolver and Pepper's blanded-out weedy whiteboy soundscapes are equally flat and boring. And the less said about the proto-Starbucks/Body Shop vibe of Abbey Road, the better.

Now you can argue that all or most recordings from that era don't sound so hot. I'd counter that anything by Joe Meek, Andrew Loog Oldham's Stones productions, Kit Lambert's Who records, hell, even Shel Talmy's Kinks records contain enticing atmospheric excitement. But George Martin.... Not only are the arrangements dull as ditchwater, so too are the overarching sonics.

Now, the Capitol box has gotten the thumbs up emoticon from aging Beatle boppers who purport to have devoted their lives to the study of the finer details of sonics (because they never got a girlfreind). I'd say this Nostalgia Box sounds no better (or worse) than the much-maligned 1987 CDs. (And quit deluding yourselves -- I don't care how much you spent on your BC13 box that was pressed on the moon, the vinyl doesn't sound miles or even millimeters better than the CDs.) These teenbeat tapes are always going to sound like shrill, trebly tweeboy tinfoil cones played with a knitting needle.

Does anyone here truly believe that so-called "proper" remasters are really going to to sound much different than the 1987 CDs? And don't even the lifelong bachelor SHites and their cult leader even admit that the Magical Mystery Tour, White Album and other CDs are about as close to the actual masters as one is going to get?

So just what miracle do these fools expect? (Besides having their youth restored.) Blah!

Closeted boomer COLA seems to know quite a bit about the sound of all those '87 CD's and respective vinyl! Now, he's downloading Fab FLACS to boot! For shame Mr. OLA! Turn in your prog card immediately!

I'm shattered. At this rate, you may have to disqualify yourself from participation in the Prog Tourney!

What's next? Downloading Styx FLACS?

Cunt,

I didn't realize you were going to put up your Official Stereo Central Parody Site here in the General Music Discussion area of FLO. Come on, any "fuckwad" or "idiot" (or "dipshit" or "douchebag," if you prefer) can start up a free message board on the Web. I mean, come on Cunt, I did it.

Thank you for adding my humble site to your ever-growing list of Message Boards In Which Mike Hunte Likes To Troll. I am seriously flattered, prix... I mean rantz muhammitz... I mean Mr. Cunt.

Please come over and moderate the Prog/Psych Tourney. (I know you're pissing your pants with anticipation. Don't worry: the Classic Rawk Tourney will be over in a couple of weeks.) We need your expertise. Your many decades of poring over shitty concept albums will finally pay off.

Why so much anger Mr. Dee? Can't we all just be friends? Why didn't you like my little observation? Your language is very profane. I can't help it if this was the last name I was born with.

Prix? Poring? Poaters?

You made me sad,

I asked nicely, but neither the World Governing Body of Renaissance Fairs nor the Ayn Rand Institute will issue me a prog card. But through the magic of sublimation I made myself a bitchin' Peter Gabriel avatar. Now I don't feel quite so inadequate.

As for the Beatles FLACs, what can I say, other than the fact that I tend to do my research and like to know what the fuck I'm talking about before I open my mouth -- quite unlike the Hallelujah thumbs up, Steve! Chorus at the national treasure's cult HQ.

Styx FLACs? Sure, right after I schedule that lobotomy.

Now why is the cunt trying to turn FLO into an SC mirror site?

I must expose all fraudulent activity at the shithole. But your answer to my previous query satisfies me. You are once again allowed to participate in the highly anticipated upcoming prog tourney. 8)

But your language, like Mr. Dee's, is very profane! You too have made me sad by mocking my Christian name.

I will not allow such profane behavior to continue! Please suspend yourself from this website until your profane nature has been cleansed. Mr. LukP does not tolerate harsh words on his site! Most women do not like like to hear the C word uttered in public! Go back to your own shithole and think about these recent profanities!

I must add something as well Mr. Avatar - in all seriousness:

I don't understand your obsession with SHTV. If you hate it so much, and the people who post there, why are you so compelled to reference and paste the activities that take place there on a daily basis? Heck, I've nicked two posts from your site and I'm already bored with the whole thing. Just curious.

For me, you end up looking like a spurned lover who can't get over his ex-girlfriend, so he must stalk and harass her to no end. I mean, aren't you even the slightest bit tired of repeating the same crap over and over ad nauseum (the very thing you accuse them of)? Again, just curious. I mean, it was perhaps a bit funny the first 10 times in the Snakepit...but it's become an OCD of the worst kind. Let it go man!

You know, there are all types at Steve's site - idiots, fanboys, syncophants, rubber stampers, loudmouths, morons, boomers, right-wingers, etc. Many who I can't stand. But there are also great people there. Some even post here. People who share a wealth of *factual* information. People who I've had the privelage of making friends with over the years. Do I like the way everything is handled there? No, of course not. But I could say that for just about every site I visit. At the very least, if I find myself becoming discouraged by the activities there, I'll refrain from posting for awhile...sometimes a long while. We all have that option, no?

I would gladly refrain from my recent trolls, if you could consider turning your website into something productive - one that actually discusses music rather than just mocking other people's tastes and behaviors mercilessly. The charity thing was a good start, even if it was once again rooted from the affairs of SHTV. I'm not saying you have to be freakin' saints...some of it was quite funny! But again, let it go man.

Or, is this just some kind of "humor" thing designed to pass the time?...

"Ad nauseam" is the correct spelling.

If you don't like SC, you don't have to click on it. Or get up in arms about it. No one is stalking; no one is forcing you to look at it. If you and your fellow SHites have an uncontrollable compulsion to read it, then the joke's on you.

1) It's spelled "privilege". 2) RE your record-collecting internet pals: Bully for you. Nice. Who cares. Why tell us?

And what makes you think that your petty little ultimatum will in any manner dictate what we do at SC? Troll away. I don't give a ding dang doodle what you do. I'm sure if said trolling gets to be enough of an annoyance, Luke could always delete your posts.

I'll say it again: you no like, you no look. What part of that is so difficult for you to grasp? I have zero interest in providing you with yet another forum in which to discuss hiss levels on your 200 copies of your beloved Elton John Cee Dees, or the soul-destroying digital click at the 1:54 mark of "Crocodile Rock." There are plenty of such forums to go around. If you want yet another, start your own.
