DSOTM Black Triangle or Japan Harvest=Same Mastering?

EDIT - sorry David, I've just answered your question back to front; the 80's disc I have is the silver faced edition made at EMI Swindon.

The louder mastering, or TO mastering (so called because of the TO in the inner ring of later black triangles / Harvests) was also used on the stock UK silver faced disc. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the mastering for the stock US edition aswell.

If I've understood you correctly, your disc looks like this:

It lists 10 tracks.

Did you extract Speak To Me/Breath as one track? Or was it two tracks that you then spliced together? If it's the former, than that means your disc actually contains 9 tracks.

That entry of freedb, at least, says 9 tracks is correct. So not only does the audio correspond with an older release, the indexes do aswell. But not the packaging.
