Who remixes unique to the 30 Years box

Postby Chris M » Wed Mar 23, 2005 12:52 pm

Anyone know what remixes/mixes are unique (not on any other issue) to the 30 Years box? I'm trying to see if I still need this boxset.

A Quick One (hybrid of mono studio version and alt live version)
The Last Time (narrow stereo remix)
Call Me Lightning (narrow stereo remix)
Fortune Teller (studio version)
Relay (remix with longer fade, crossfaded intro)
The Seeker (small difference in intro)
Join Together (small difference in fade)
Sparks (listed as Underture; longer than on TKAA LP/CD)
Melancholia (intro not cut off)
Happy Jack Jingle
Coke 2 (different mix from Sell Out)
Mary Anne (remix without "wobbling" vocal)
Dogs (stereo mix - only place on CD)
See Me, Feel Me (somewhat unique mix/edit from Leeds)
Bony Maronie (unique mix, albeit edited)
The Real Me (alt version)
Twist And Shout/I'm A Man

I think that just about covers it. There are a few other edits that aren't that important.

Ignore the back of the box, which proclaims a number of remixes that aren't there.

Indeed. Just about everything states "remixed" sans the Talmy material. Far less actually is.

Thanks! Are the High Numbers tracks on 30 Years remixes or unique mixes?

They might be unique, but don't quote me. I do think I'm The Face has been issued elsewhere, though (in that mix).

I'm fairly certain Young Man Blues is a unique mix. I've not heard the deluxe LAL (don't intend to), but it's certainly different from the original mix and 25th anniversary edition. It's actually my favourite ...

It might be a different edit, I'm not sure. The fact that it's edited at all means I never listen to it...

The mix certainly has a delay effect I've not heard anywhere else. As for edits, aren't all the official releases "edits" of some sort?

Yes - and I don't listen to them!

I know the 1995 (and presumably 2001) has some delay on the guitar in spots. Don't know if that's the same or not.
