FCC Media Deregulation

*Very* funny quote from The Onion's "man on the street" survey:

FCC Media Deregulation
"Yeah? Well, if this is such a big problem, why aren't we hearing more about it on the news?" —Mitch Ahearn, Auto Mechanic

If anyone caught the press conference/briefing on CSPAN, the day that the ruling came down, announcing/explaining this landmark ruling from the FCC, it was interesting and verrrrrrrrry embarassing, to see the Media Press Morons, "catching up" with details on the subject and understanding what it was all about.

They had absolutely NO CLUE, on how to even explain it for their nightly news show story ! What made it so stupid, was that this is the industry that they are employed in, and they didn't even had a basic grasp of the industry issues involved, let alone, how it affected the average person !

While they diplomatically, and very embarassingly, avoided ANY mention of the issue BEFORE the FCC announcement, the Media reporters had absolutely NO CLUE what it was all about !

These are professionals who have to act like they know, to report on the most esoteric subject, and they were scrambling for straws !

The next time you see that "authoritative" look in their eyes, behind it, is skull as hard as a ROCK !!!!!

*He's* Ryan. *I'm* Ron. *You*, Mike, sound bald[ing]. Is this true? And even if it is, there's no reason to be ashamed. On *other* sites devoted to music, the likes of Van Halen and Foreigner and lotsa hair are given almost god-like status. We here at Luke.dot.pac.com.forums.pac.org.org are way cooler than that. Bald[ing] is OK. Drugs, however, are not.

Yes, the Isaac Hayes/Midnight Oil/Judas Priest/Sinead O'Connor Appreciation Thread should be starting up shortly, sponsored by Propecia.
