Chuck thinks that I look to good to be a computer geek. I think that I know too much about interface design, css, xhtml, php, asp, perl, and ia (too name a few things) to not be one.

One man's "bad EQ" is another's "midrange magic".

Marhsall's reply to a poster that suggested Raidohead's The Bends as a possible Audio Fidelity title - "guys - Raidohead was more of a UK group than a US group. As I mentioned the US is our core audience. Sorry guys"

In all fairness he reconsidered after several posters told him he was off his rocker but his knee jerk closed minded responses are baffeling to say the least....

I think the Bends would be a great seller, but I honestly don't see a big improvement over the stock disc happening...

 What a lousy excuse. You could list dozens of examples of this UK/US thing, including T Rex, The Kinks, The Animals, Chumbawumba, Massive Attack, Belle and Sebastian, etc. The point is, all these groups still sell well over here, including Radiohead. Does this guy just not want to make any money?

Just to bring up an old example of the close-mindedness of AF and SH.tv, one time Steve asked if people would like to hear Uriah Heep and Motorhead on hybrid SACD/CD. The response was an overwhelming "NO, please God no". What the hell? So instead, they release CCR for the umpteenth time, The Italians, and "The Caricaturized, Exaggerated features of Old Black Men" albums. I give credit to Steve for originally suggesting the idea, but he shouldn't have asked the kool aid drinkers what they thought.
