Two unrelated news items that seem to belong together

Two unrelated news items that seem to belong together

First, Dennis Miller completes his transformation into a frothing neocon by joining the gang at Fox News:

I used to like him, but he's been veering sharply to the right over the past few years, finally bottoming out with his jingoistic cheerleading for the Iraq war and hearty embrace of the Bush presidency.

In other news, Bush fell off a Segway:

Work, is work and a paycheck is a paycheck !

Does anyone really think, that he espoused a personal point of view or principals, of one political view or another ?

I'm sure the credibility of his brand of satire, will take a nosedive in the delivery department, but like everyone else, he's just making a living, like everyone else.

He will become less special, and this is what's popular these days...mediocrity and conformity ! I can't see a better example of this than his move to FOX. Imagine him in a great timeslot between OReilly and Hannity and Colmes ????? UGH ! Next Stop Branson MO !!!!!

He is still a funny guy in my opinion. They all don't have to be bleeding hearts to be funny.

True enough, and comedy is definitely in the eye of the beholder. But for me, where Miller used be merely cynical, he's becoming downright misanthropic and cruel. Braying (unironically) about "kicking ass and taking hyphenated names" isn't funny, it's just sad. He still has his moments when I've seen him lately, but they're getting rarer.

Where are the Lenny Bruce's, George Carlin's, and Mort Sahl's of this generation ?????? Jimmy Kimmel, Dennis Miller just don't cut it for me.

Bill Mahar comes the closest to be a genuine thinking man, you would like to sit down and listen too, for any length of time.

Of course, Maher was fired to make room for Kimmel and his half-assed late night show. Brilliant! Thanks Disney!
