The Greatest Generation...FINALLY THE BASTARDS ARE DYING

Don't know how many of you are familiar with the reptilian entity known as Grover Nordquist, but he's a big 'behind the scenes' conservative in Republican circles.

The Daily Kos and other liberal blogs are reporting this lovely snippet of Nordquistness --

When asked about if he thought Democratic Party was coming to an end Norquist told Pablo Pardo of El Mundo:
"Yes, because in addition their demographic base is shrinking. Each year, 2 million people who fought in the Second World War and lived through the Great Depression die. This generation has been an exeception in American history, because it has defended anti-American policies. They voted for the creation of the welfare state and obligatory military service. They are the base of the Democratic Party. And they are dying. And, at the same time, all the time more Americans have stocks. That makes them defend the interests of business, because it is their own interest. Because of that, it's impossible to bring to the fore policies of social hate, of class warfare."

Yes, that's right -- once all those anti-American socialists who kicked Nazi ass and survived the Depression finally kick off, we'll be able to implement our agenda. We will continue the process of privatizing all retirement and health benefits, making everyone's health and retirement utterly dependent on the stock market and chasing short-term profits. They will have no choice but to toe the corporate line.

Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!

Norquist is, of course, the guy who said he wanted to shrink the government in half in 25 years so "we can drown it in the bathtub."
