Jethro Tull "Teacher"

Postby JWB » Thu Dec 10, 2009 12:25 am

I always thought, from my time at shitville, that there were two mixes of this song. As for which appears where, I don't know. So today I lined up three versions...Original US Benefit...Living In The Past MFSL...and the Mewtilated remaster (labelled "UK Mix")...and all three are clearly different mixes. I could have sworn that the remaster was supposed to have the same mix as the MFSL, but that isn't the case here. There is also supposed to be a different mix on the 20 years box. The MFSL runs at a slower pitch than the others. Does anybody know the story with this song? Is there a thread in shitville?

Not me, but I've wondered.
"I know because it is impossible for a tape to hold the compression levels of these treble boosted MFSL's like Something/Anything. The metal particulate on the tape would shatter and all you'd hear is distortion if even that." - VD

People have said that the remaster is not the UK mix. What is it then? Because it isn't the US Benefit mix or the MFSL mix.

No opinions? No links to shiteville? Guess I'm wasting my time...
