New Who Japanese mini-LPs

Postby Xenu » Thu Sep 06, 2007 8:54 pm

Someone posted what purports to be this version of The Who Sell Out (mono!) over at OPP. Anybody want a sample?

I just got my copy of the mono Sell Out from CD Japan last week.

The sound is OK IMO ... Though it's *really* heavy in the low end (but then so is the Classic vinyl version).

This is a Top 10 album for me, so I just had to have this.

I'd say I'm most interested in I'm A Boy, what with the stereo AQO content.

I've thought about picking it up, but haven't shelled out the $30 yet.

Does Ghastly Astley have anything to do with these?

Not sure, but not to my knowledge.

Shall we split these up per person? I'm happy to buy "Meaty."

I'm a Boy is apparently out of print.

Any chance one of the SH denizens might be generous on this front?

I'll probably be getting a copy shortly.

Hopefully shipping won't be too long from Sweden.

I was about to say "fuck", but I see they don't have I'm A Boy.

Apparently the mono Sell Out is good, and My Generation has Circles from tape.

I've seen some praise for Direct Hits as well.

Other than having the single mix of ICSFM (only place on CD), I've heard the sound isn't great. Haven't heard it myself, though.
