That Chicago Transit Authority performance of "I'm a Man" is really good. I found it amusing watching the horn section convert to a percussion/backup singer/booty shaking section for the performance.

The Black Cat Bone has a thread about Youtube that mentioned:

Roxy Music - Do The Strand: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qzc2GX0nNXo
This was incredible. Youtube also has Virginia Plain and In Every Dream Home a Heartache from the very same TV concert.

BCBers also mentioned Stevie Wonder on Sesame Street doing the Sesame Street theme and Superstition, two excellent performances.

I searched and found some Gentle Giant clips. For being considered such a serious band, they were amusing and full of energy when they played live.

Those're from the Musikladen DVD, although it appears that the Youtube clips are from an alternate source (the official DVD clips the announcement at the beginning of "Do the Strand" for some ungodly reason).

The performance of "Editions of You" from that show is absolutely freakin' amazing.

My current clips of note:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhRYOUwlFfk (The Turtles - Elenore and House on a Hill, mimed. An odd semi-performance of both tunes, the latter clearly chosen before "You Don't Have to Walk in the Rain" was decided on as the single)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FH4YNnA2iLI (The Soft Machine doing "Soon Soon Soon")

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7aPc0qqzHYY (A super-young Magic Band on "Where the Action Is." What song is it before Diddy Wah Diddy? I assume it's from the A&M Sessions disc, which I embarassingly don't have)

It's "Who Do You Think You're Fooling" which is the US flip-side of "Diddy Wah Diddy" and the UK flipside of "Moonchild".

*Sigh* Just another example of the homosexual agenda being propagated via the Liberal Media.

To be fair, he was stroking, er, his own toy. I mean, you can point that thing on anybody.

Yes it is. It's a moving tribute to Funky Billy Chin and Little Sammy Chong, both of whom were viciously slaughtered by Sonny Chiba.
