$20 later (good for a 2 CD set, but terrible for one song), I've got the damn thing. The stereo separation *is* better, and the guitar solo *is* on the right beat. Well, mostly anyway. I haven't dumped this to ProTools yet, but the sync still feels a bit off in places. Like if you're expecting a guitar line solidly on the downbeat, it comes a split second late. Or at least that's what it seems like on first listen.
And the backing vocals near the end still seem wrong. Hrmm.
