The most amazing complaint, championed by the Times and repeated by all the know-nothing secularists on television, is that Gibson insisted on "rubbing our faces in the grisly reality of Jesus' death."

Well, actually, the Bible is fairly circumspect about the cruxifixion, so what Gibson focused on were the lunatic ravings of a sexually-repressed woman from several hundred years ago -- who's now up for beatification.

Given the qualifications, maybe Ann C .will be eligible too.
