Robertson: "I was misinterpreted by the AP"

The gist: Robertson (for whom I generally have far more respect than Falwell, et cetera) claims he never said we should assasinate Chavez, only that we should "take him out," which has a WORLD of interpretations. Problems: while he did say "take him out," he also said we should just go ahead and assasinate him if he thinks we're planning on it. Oops.

I wasn't going to touch the original story because it was just Too Damn Easy, but that takes the cake.

Right, I'm sure he meant that we should take him out for a nice dinner and maybe some dancing.

Dude, you said it on TV. There's no room for misinterpretation.
We were right about Vietnam. We were right about Nixon. We were right about Reaganomics. Trust us -- we're right about Bush, too.
