Firefox's Selective Hatred of Flash

Postby Xenu » Fri Mar 20, 2009 7:08 pm

Hey all,

So something I can't quite figure out: for some time, Firefox hasn't been able to play some flash files correctly. It can do Youtube, for example, but it dies on Myspace; it can't play samples from hmv.co.jp, it can't load most non-Youtube videos from Gawker, and so on.

Uninstalling and reinstalling Flash didn't fix this. Curiously, IE and Opera have no problem on this content.

Any ideas?

You've got the latest versions of Flash and FF? I haven't had a problem recently...IIRC in the past I've fixed problems by upgrading.

Indeed. Even uninstalling and reinstalling does nothing.
