Unversal Remotes

Postby balthazar » Wed Nov 05, 2008 8:02 pm

Does anyone here have any experience or informed opinions on programmable universal remotes, like the Logitech Harmony series, etc.? I'm beginning to see some clutter in my living room and am wondering if these things are really worthwhile.

I have a Logitech Harmony 550. It's not very expensive and it really does work well. The PC interface makes programming, and customization, a breeze.

I love my Harmony remote and can't imagine not having it. They really do work well, and the ability to fire up your entire system and configure it for a specific activity (watch DVD, watch TV, listen to music, etc.) with a single button press is like magic.
