Rock politics/Countryside Alliance

Expect plenty of disagreement. Just keep it civil.

Ugh. Clapton (and Roger Waters, of all people) will be playing a benefit for the (gag) Countryside Alliance:

If you don't know, Countryside Alliance is a rightwing, pro-hunting, rich toff gun nut lobbying group. Nasty, nasty piece of work.

Last year on FLO, there were lingering questions about Clapton's politics today. I think his involvement with Countryside Alliance definitively puts all doubts to rest.

I wouldn't walk across the street to spit on this guy, much less give him one single cent.

(Must say that Waters has done a 180-degree turn with his politics, as all dutiful millionaires do, I suppose.)

That's an impressive roster they've managed. Can you point to some examples of their evilhood? As much as I don't like hunting, I need a bit more before I consider something evil...
