Comedy clue #294: when your disclaimer is longer than your joke, the joke probably isn't worth the effort.
Bruce really needs to put down the Wild Turkey long enough to get through a strip.

A member of the moneyed, elite, East Coast, Ivy-educated, martini-swilling, drunk-wife-hiding, topsiders-wearing, big-word-using intelligentsia? *That's* what a real conservative looks like?
Who knew?
And why does the duck keeps changing from black to white? Is there an ink shortage?

The duck is white whenever the background is black, and black whenever the background is white.
It's (a) an extremely subtle jab at Hillary Clinton, (b) yet another example of Tinsley's artistic incompetence, or (c) the result of Tinsley's attempts to clean up after spilling Mad Dog 20/20 all over his strip.

The citations prove that Mallard is "entirely factual." What's Wrong With Mallard Fillmore called my attention to this delightful letter to the editor:
The "entirely factual" strips in question? The unforgettable riff on dog-eating in China.
I really loved last week's series of cartoons, "Doonesbury" and "Mallard Fillmore" in the Opinion section.
One thing I noticed, though: The "liberal" strip, "Doonesbury," was entirely fictional with Donald Trump trying to get George Bush into his squabble with Rosie O'Donnell.
On the other hand, the "conservative" strip, "Mallard Fillmore," was entirely factual, complete with citations from current news sources.
Very telling.
