I guess every newspaper has a couple of Dumb Columnists. Here's a gem that one of mine printed today (I swear this is not meant to be ironic):

Fortunately, our other outstanding Dumb Columnist, Cheryl Truman, is ending her column. She had a great series of columns a few years when she complained about the salaries of people working for the public schools. Her main gripe seemed to be that people shouldn't earn a good wage if Cheryl Truman doesn't understand what they do.

That's called democracy, a system of government in which our representatives are supposed to explore and debate the issues, then vote the way we tell them to.
