Unified messages here in Ohio

Postby Mike Hunte » Thu Oct 21, 2004 3:59 pm

Just wanted to let everyone know -- to maybe help ease some of the fears that the Dems aren't hammering home simple points well enough -- that here in Ohio, they're running targeted ads aimed at seniors (health care & SS) 'round the clock.

KEEP FIGHTING....we're very much in this & very likely actually leading where it counts.

Curious as to where you're at because I haven't seen much anything here in Cleveland. Then again, maybe I'm watching at the wrong times.

I noticed the Kerry ads picked up around the debates but then seemed to taper off after the last debate.

I'm in Cleveland too. I work nights, so most of my viewing occurs during the afternoon. Noticed a slew of SS & health care ads, many targeted at seniors, during the soaps and from 4p-6p. Ads in general were running at about a 3/2 ratio today - Kerry/Bush.

My brother confirms evening coverage as well...

(PS: "Guiding Light" is my drug of choice)

That explains it, I'm usually at work while you're getting your fix.

I don't get to check out the local channels here as much as I like (kids prefer Spongebob), but the coverage seemed light when I would catch it.

I remember seeing Bush ads pick up around the time of the Dem convention, but don't recall Kerry's particularly picking up during the GOP convention.

The good news is that at least Kerry hasn't abandoned Ohio like Gore did. Gore was already far off and gone by this time in 2000.
