Cognitive Dissonance

Postby Rspaight » Wed Nov 03, 2004 12:44 pm

I just made the mistake of looking at the local paper. At the top of the front page (behind the election "wrapper"), there was a charming little human-interest story about a couple where the husband was a Democrat and the wife was a Republican. At one point, the wife burbled, "I just don't know why everybody doesn't love [Bush]."

Below that story, there was a huge picture of people in Iraq covered in blood.

I bet she makes a nice apple pie. I'd love to smother her in it.

That really says it all, doesn't it? And I'm sure her pretty little head hasn't been preoccupied with the question of exactly why "everybody doesn't love Bush." Wouldn't want to start thinking too hard about where that attitude is leading our country.

Ryan, any chance for a scan?
Chuck thinks that I look to good to be a computer geek. I think that I know too much about interface design, css, xhtml, php, asp, perl, and ia (too name a few things) to not be one.
