Audio downsampling?

So I've hit the part in my Great Anthology Transcoding Experiment wherein I have to downsample the 48khz audio to 44.1 khz. Question: what's the best way to do this? I see that BeSweet and other DVD-audio programs have downsampling utilities, but I've always used Cool Edit Pro's (set at max, of course).

Anybody have any opinions on this matter?
