The mystery at 16k

Postby Patrick M » Sat Mar 20, 2004 10:01 pm

Can someone please tell me what these bars at 16k are all about? The first image is a track from a Jerry Cantrell bootleg. The second is a Van Halen bootleg, from multiple sources.

I keep thinking NR, but I don't know how to prove it. Here's the same thing, from two different sources:

I gotta go with Dolby (Dubly).

Surely "frequency analysis" evidence of Dolby should be complained about just as loudly as "frequency analysis" evidence of MP3 compression.
