EAC q re: adding info to local database

Postby krabapple » Wed Nov 05, 2003 4:28 pm

No answer to this so far from two EAC forums, so I thought I'd try here:

Suppose I want to add CD info to the database that EAC creates (CDDB.DAT in the EAC directory) to store such info, which it downloads automatically from freedb.org when a new CD is put in the disc drive. But suppose my drive will not read this particular CD (e.g., it's a nonhybrid SACD), so I cannot download the info from freedb into the EAC db automatically . I *can* download a text file of the info from freedb, using their search engine, but I see no way of incorporating this into CDDB.DAT.

So, is there any way to get this info into CDDB.DAT, or some other database that EAC can use? Basically, is there any way to edit (cut'n'past data into) a CDDB.DAT file?
