I'm serious. Just how does it happen? It's a goddamn turntable. What, is it made out of diamonds created in the intestines of royalty?
Or is it all about "superior craftsmanship?"
How the fuck does any turntable cost $100,000?

Hey pal, how many $100K turntables have you designed?
Seriously, it's all about the trickle-down. In a few years, you'll be able to buy a $75K turntable utilizing the same technology. That's a 25% savings right there. The $75K model may not have the same classy medieval torture device/sex toy looks, but just think of how wonderful your $500 Tom Port-approved "hot stamper" pressing of Pretzel Logic will sound!
Personally, I'm waiting for a $200K gramaphone with a solid-gold hand crank. None of that nasty AC to get in the way of the infinite resolution of shellac.

Hello everyone!
That amount of money is just ridiculous. I think they should include on video with a purchase of that nature, R&D, materials, and construction of the actual unit you receive. I really wonder what goes into a record player that costs *that* much.
Honestly, I think the design of a unit has much to how it's going to sound, But at the same time, at what point in price does the actual improvement stop?
