Never had a problem with EAC, ripping or burning.

Is it possible the problem for Andreas (and others) is that he needs to install an ASPI driver?

se Chris Myden's EAC guide for recommendations:

I'm using XP Home on all of my machines, if that makes a difference.

I tried installing an ASPI layer, and it didn't change my (in)ability to burn.

- If EAC does not finish the write process to CD-R, but always bring up an error message (like "Error - Send CUE Sheet"), most probably does EAC not support your writer. Officially EAC only supports some Teac, some Mitsumi and all Plextors.

fwiw, my current drive is a Hitachi HL-DT-STCD-RW GCE-8481B
I've also used Plextors with no problem.

CDRWin and Burrrn crashed on my PC, after few seconds of burning. No luck so far. :(
