As based on:

...I really like it. *Really* like it. I think it sounds very, very promising. And I need to vehemently disagree with those who claim that Sean's voice hasn't improved. It's still a bit reedy, but it sounds as if the last 7 or so years of practice have taught Sean how to *emote*, and it makes all the difference. His singing on "Into the Sun" was largely flat, and lacking in any sort of intonation or flourishes by comparison.
In fact--and hopefully I'm the first to make this comparison, so I can claim cutting-edge status--New Sean sounds eerily like Jon Brion, of all people.
Any other opinions?

Undecided about the music in this video... but parts of it I liked.
I don't know that I would purchase it though.
The video itself... I'm not sure what's going on. Kinda weird.

Sean Lennon reminds me of someone Michael Jackson would have "done" in the late 80's......
If you love Hi-REZ TAPE HISS, you're REALLY going to love Stereo Central
It leaked about a week and a half ago, and I *still* really like it. Sean's voice is light years better than it was on "Into the Sun;" it's still thin and reedy, but he's actually able to show emotion now, and ends up sounding even more like Jon Brion.
Oddly enough, the album itself is almost a regression. It's simple, straightforward indie/powerpop, with a decided mournful/ballad bent--in other words, not quite as eclectic as "Into the Sun."
Do give it a shot. I realize that there's an inherent desire to dismiss the Spawn of Beatle as a hipper-than-thou brat, but that impulse should be surmountable...with a little work, at least.
