I take back a few things I said earlier about this. I think there IS noticeable compression. After some listening, it felt too in your face. Loading it up and watching some waveforms, you can see the 'crewcut' look on a few tracks.
Sucks, but is it better than the original CD's? I'll have to buy some and find out.
