It's one of the endless Secret Trax/Silent Sea outtakes collections. Nothing that isn't available in other places, but it might be a nice way to get it all in one place. Note that stuff that's come out since this boot's inception (i.e. longer She Said demo fragments) probably isn't on there.

I'd like to note, BTW, that Silent Sea used a *miserable* source for their Capitol alternate tracks on "Soul Sessions," so I'd be suspicious of their Y&T sources on this set.

Are SS and ST the same company, or is one "stealing" from the other?

And are the mono mixes on D2 the regular mono Revolver tracks?

(It's free on STG, I can hardly complain, right? )

My Secret Trax 'Soul Sessions' isnt too bad in regards to the Capitol stuff, but those tracks are narrowed down...

Pat, SS is the originator; Secret Trax is an (allegedly) Japanese outfit that presses "real CD" editions of the SS stuff.

Luke, my "Soul Sessions" stuff sounds veryyyy cassette-like on the Capitol stuff (i.e. extended "I'm Looking Through You" etc.). I've heard MUCH better elsewhere.

Hrmm. It sounds like there might be some NR, but other than that, I'm Looking Through You probably sounds better than I remember it. WCWIO and Day Tripper are both somewhat narrowed down, however.

I might have a different variant. I know they've "upgraded" more than once.

For any and all officially released Beatles catalog, get the Dr. Ebbett's titles whenever possible. For everything else, Vigotone, Yellow Dog and related labels. Most of the rest is over-lap with a few notable exceptions.

That one is a cassette dubs listening session captured on a hidden tape recorder. Thus, it contains interesting and necessary outtakes for Beatles collectors in bad sound quality. The more recent Complete Control Room Monitor Mixes set contains more of this listening session with material unique to that bootleg. Much of the best of these cassette dubs can be found in better sound quality on other boots such as Vigotone's Another Sessions Plus or Yellow Dog's Studio 2 Sessions At Abbey Road to name a couple.

Thanks.

Since you live in Canada, do you hear the differences between MoFi UDs and UDIIs?

Sorry, don't own any of either. Was there a joke in there somewhere?

Yes I have but I only read threads that interest me. I'm here because I appreciated Lukpac's Rolling Stones Remasters faq and his other informative posts on other boards. I can't be bothered registering on the SH forum although it's a good place to get reviews and opinions as well as reports on upcoming releases.
