ICE Dylan issues?
ICE Dylan issues?
sh.tv is reporting that this month's ICE has a CD Watchdog fest-o-rama on the Dylan reissues. Could someone here scan in said article and post for popular merriment?

Partially. I still don't quite get why the LP and the SACD sounded similar, but the CD was the odd duck. Maybe I was high on record cleaner or something.
(I got the Sundazed mono JWH, by the way. It's veddy nice. Seems somewhat more balanced than the stereo mix...)

Ahh, ok (I had forgotten the details).
So does the SACD sound as different from the LP as that article would lead people to believe?

Didn't seem that way to me (at least WRT vocal/instrument balance), but Patrick's copy was pretty chewed up. I'd really need to track down a good stereo copy to be sure. But I think three copies of JWH is enough for the moment...
Question: On the Blood on the Tracks remaster, multichannel mix of "If You See Her, Say Hello" is there some weirdness going on at 2:47, or is that just on Ryan's copy?
I went back and checked the stereo mix and my old CD, and the same "hiccup" is there, just less obvious than on the MC. Haven't checked the vinyl yet.
And Ryan, BTW, how's the Who-article-compilation coming?
Slowly.
I'll try to dig up the Stones Watchdog tonight.

"Binaural mixes" my ass.
BTW, I'm still amazed just how much of my letter to them they printed.
