Been a long time listener on PG's FM. Lindsey who? I bought the box set, and I love it. I've also seen the individual albums for sale in stores, however they don't come with the outtakes like the box set.
The single albums on CD may be tough to find, but why not get the box set...it's a bargain at less than $50 for 6 CD that are maxed out. By far the best bang for your buck for box sets. Great sounding, lots of outtakes and bonus tracks, tons of studio chatter (some of it's quite funny). Has a great booklet, and oddly enough the set was put together by Mike Vernon..the same guy that produced all them back in the 60's! The set stops just short of Then Play On.
Oh Well from Then Play On is one of those songs that should be in stereo...never has been. If you've had a chance to listen to the album version, it's quite lengthy, but cool. I bought a CD copy of Then Play On 15 years ago, and I still listen to it on occasion. It's one of those albums that can be listened to all the way through. Some tracks area weak, but they're not annoying.
I've seen Vaudeville Years, and thought about buying it...maybe someday. Looks like outtakes from Then Play On for the most part. I'll be honest, after Then Play On, FM doesn't really exist for me. I prefer the blues stuff over the pop stuff from Lindsay and Stevie, then again no one in America really knew of them before then
