Bowie Gold-disc sunspot

Quick summary: a sh.tv posted alleges that Ryko's "gold swap" was not limited to the Zappa titles, but included the Bowie titles as well.

If accurate, this would be verrry interesting, as some of those Au20 Bowie discs are strangely hard to find (I've never even seen Heroes). I'd be curious as to whether this swap, if true, was permanent as to the rest of the Bowie Ryko run; the Zappas were eventually swapped back, but evidence seems to suggest that this happened after Bowie's catalog transferred over to Virgin.

Oh, and a random aside: the Bowie RCA project is getting even more complete. If anybody's interested in an upgraded version of that collection, I should have it available by the middle of August.
