The Wall soundtrack

Postby wasakithis » Sun Jan 07, 2007 3:53 am

I was wondering... I remember seeing during the credits of The Wall that the soundtrack was available. And in the Shine On book, it says briefly that they recorded the soundtrack in 1982 (3 years after the Wall was released)... And you can tell that the recordings are considerably different in the movie i.e. In The Flesh? which has a longer intro, Mother which is orchestral, In The Flesh! which is also orchestral, the inclusion of the lost What Shall We Do Now?...

Well, I was wondering if it's available... The real soundtrack, not the recording from the movie with all the sound effects... Is there a bootleg out there or a torrent out there? I've always deaned of having a complete version of In The Flesh? (it's obviously edited down on the album... as many songs are...)

No, the soundtrack was never released for some reason.

Nick Mason mentions in his "Inside Out" book that the soundtrack was passed on since it was so close to the original LP.
