Jimi Hendrix - Axis - Alternate Stereo Mix?

Postby JWB » Mon Jan 01, 2007 12:48 pm

Where does the alternate mix of Axis originate from and where is the best place to find it? Has it ever been released on CD? I was banned from SHitTV so I can't do a search.

It's on the original Polydor CD.

I want to say it was first released on LP in the '70s. Twofer maybe?

The one that circulates among collectors is taken from Japan Polydor CD, P33P-25023. Why is it called "safe-stereo" I do not know. :?

Yeah, that "safe-stereo" confused the hell out of me too. WHat I want to know if when that mix was done? Is it a vintage unused 1967 mix?
