Hi all. First posting here even though I signed up over the summer.
My first question... Has the original US Penny Lane promo been bootlegged anywhere? I have the Rarities version and obviously the Anthology version but I'm after the original. Don't mind paying for it but I can't find it anywhere.
Penny Lane - trumpet ending, in mono - availability?

Here's my edit of the extra trumpet onto the regular stereo mix:

Yes. The trumpet isolates quite nicely.
Actually, to sound more like the promo mix you'd have to make the end trumpet bit really prominent with lots of crazy reverb/echo.
I finally found a decent transfer of (what sounds to be) the actual US mono promo with trumpet ending. It's on the Mythology boxed set and I wonder if that version is just a copy from the Dr. Ebbetts singles? The stereo mix doesn't really cut it for me. The vocal on the mono is just so up front and on the US single the doubled vocal seems to be mixed up a little too.
