Townshend - Meher Baba LP's

Postby Chris M » Wed Aug 16, 2006 1:25 am

Anyone have needle drops of these? I'm particularly looking for the track "Meher" from the 1977 Baba LP With Love. This track was not used on the Ryko Who Came First LP nor is it slated to appear on the upcoming Who Came First reissue. AFAIK it's only available on the Avatar and Jai Baba sets where the sound quality is said to be bad even by Astley's low standards..

Well, I've got the Avatar box...

How bad is that box? I've read it's all but unlistenable.

I've honestly only listened to it a few times. The NR is some of the worst I've ever heard, but I know some tracks are less bad than others.

Thanks. I guess I'll just bite the bullet and look for a used copy of Jai Baba. It would be nice if they would of added Meher as a bonus track on the Who Came First reissue..
