Muswell Hillbillies intrigue

Someone posted the CD layer from the SACD hybrid on oink recently...and I jumped at the opportunity to compare it to the Ludwig remaster, which:

a) Is the only post-Pye Kinks I have, and
b) as Andreas recently pointed out, definitely has more than a little noise reduction applied.


Conclusion: they seem to be from the same digital source. Oh, they're hard to sync--the waveforms don't quite share peaks--but there's no real drift once you've got 'em close.

It sounds like they're from the same tape, but with different levels of processing.
