Is it worth seeking out? Do any of the circulating CDs sound decent?

I have a boot CD that sounds like it's a couple generations removed from the original needle-drop. I would hope there are a couple of better-sourced versions around, but I don't know. It's nice to have, but I can't say I spin it often.
The differences between it and the stereo mix, while minimal, are indeed there. I think that topic's been covered more than once at SH.tv.

Jeff - I've got a perfect copy. I can send it you if you like. I forgot to include it in the package of needle drops I sent you.

Sweet ... thanks. I forgot how much I liked this album. I was really into it as a kid, and I've suddenly been listening to it again lately.

My copy comes from a Japanese bootleg, transferred straight from the LP (not a tape). I removed all of the pops and clicks and remastered it into true mono.
There is a much more common bootleg (on the label Roaring Mouse i beleieve), and it has several glitches. I went through 2 or 3 copies before I gave up and seeked out the Japanese one. I think Goodwin may have had a hand in this.

Yeah, I have two copies of the (bad) Roaring Mouse version.
I didn't even notice the major audio issues until JWB pointed 'em out.
