Koch Inks Bangles, Album Due in September

NEW YORK (Billboard) - Koch Entertainment has signed reunited female rock band the Bangles for the United States.
The album "Doll Revolution," featuring original band members Susanna Hoffs (news) (guitar), Debbi Peterson (drums), Vicki Peterson (guitar) and Michael Steele (bass), is due Sept. 9. The set -- produced by the Bangles and Brad Wood (Liz Phair (news), Smashing Pumpkins) -- has already been released in Europe on EMI and in Japan on JVC.
The U.S. version will have a 35-minute bonus DVD with backstage footage, interviews rare tracks and a video for the single "Something That You Said." That cut will be delivered July 28 to U.S. radio outlets.
The Bangles released four albums on Columbia from 1984-90 and first reunited in 1999 to record a new track for the soundtrack to "Austin Powers 2: The Spy Who Shagged Me."
The group has a handful of summer tour dates on its schedule, beginning July 17 in Costa Mesa, Calif.
