Ogden's Nut Gone Flake (new disc)

Postby Xenu » Wed Jun 04, 2003 2:45 am

Word t'yall.

Is that, uh, "new" (as I hesitate to use that term in connection with this %$#%# album) EMI/whatever disc of Ogden's Nut Gone Flake better/worse/same as the LP-sleeve, if anybody has it?

I ask because it'd be hilarious if we got a downgrade back to a "no edit between the second and third tracks" version.

Xenu,

What are the differences in this new issue, and how can we identify it ?

Also, here's a Faces link, where you can follow the "progress" of the box set, and the various Small Faces, Faces, Rod Stewart issues, courtesy of Mac....

Oy. I saw it once...I think the cover was more "white" than usual...2003 copyright on the back. Bonus tracks (the usual live suspects).

The previous, best version is the LP-sleeve edition from Sanctuary.

Oy. "Ultimate collection?" Great. Exactly what the world needs: another Small Faces comp.

I wish the Charley boxed-set from a few years back had been the freakin' end...issue something definitive and be done with it!
