Still no word on what killed him. Strange....his mother had died just weeks before.

Noel was a fine bassist, but of course overshadowed by Jimi, as everybody was for awhile. I thought that first FAT MATTRESS album from '69 was a real gem; still do, and was thrilled when Sequel UK issued it on CD. Very Traffic-styled(Chris Wood appeared on it), but very unique, too; nothing quite like it, really. He did other work, but when you hang with Hendrix for a few years, that's what you'll be remembered for.

By all accounts, a nice guy, too, who never got the financial due he was entitled too. A shame when you have to be a musician AND an accountant; much easier today for young musicians, I would think.

When remixing vintage tapes, imagine you are back in the time those recordings were made, and mix accordingly. forget Today's Sound Sensibilities....

The late Jimi Hendrix Experience bassist Noel Redding died of "natural" causes, according to authorities in Ireland. Redding, who was 57, was found dead in his home on Sunday (May 11) in County Cork, where he'd resided for more than two decades. His body was found in the bathroom by friends.

Clonakilty Sergeant Aidan Moynihan told Rolling Stone magazine that the local police have ruled out murder and suicide. "We're not investigating anything," Moynihan said. "The house was secure."

Experience Hendrix is supposed to be putting together a title called "Noel Redding: The Experience Sessions", slated for June release, sometime...this according to the Rolling Stone magazine obit for Redding.

Anyone hear anything or get a setlist ????
