There's a thread on ass-kissing posts over at sh.tv right now.

Yeah, I noticed that. They do tend to pop up from time to time like mushrooms. Funny how new members keep noticing that, and all the old members keep telling them how wrong they are.

Harrodburg?

Harrodsburg. You know what I meant. Is it fun to feel superior by pointing out other people's faults? Jerk. :)

Don't think so. I posted something I thought was bad.

Yeah? You made some reference about some posts being "shunned" and I asked you to give a few examples but you never gave any. You may be right and all, but I didn't/don't know what you meant by "shunned posts."

Yeah, Grant, but I hardly count you amongst the "old guard" over there, even though you've got tons of posts. You've never toed the party line, to your everlasting credit.

"All the old members" was a bad choice of words.

Ignore would have been a better word. The forum overall tends to ignore threads or posts that doesn't usually fall into the ballpark of what the actuive majority believes.

Again, you may be right, but I wonder if it's more because a majority of members simply aren't familiar with the artist you'd posted about. I've always felt that your threads were quite popular/successful. I'd be curious, though, to know some of the posts/threads that you thought were ignored.

Well, I'm not so sure how successful the "Membership Drive" was. This place *should* be huge. But I guess that takes time. There's damned little of interest at sh.tv, that's for sure. You'd think that more "serious-minded" music lovers would give this site a shot, wouldn't you?

By the way, what are you listening to as you read this thread?

Yeah, well how 'bout listing the last five CDs/LPs you've bought? Or maybe let's start a poll w/ your top fav rave Beatles song? That ought to get membership into three-digit territory.

Genitalia Are Oblique. Saw them once at a small venue here in Tokyo. *Totally* derivative.
