I have a soft spot for this album, so I'm quite interested in hearing the new disc. I notice you mention the UK import does not appear to be copy-protected; has there been any indication that the US issue will be?

I'm sure you'll like it. I haven't heard anything regarding copy protection on the U.S. release.

It's interesting to note the cover is a photograph of Lennon wearing multiple pairs of glasses and not the drawing on the earlier release.

"Steel and Glass" seems to be missing the little spoken bit at the beginning.

On mine, he starts with the "heh heh heh" chuckling then the "this here's a story...". I honestly don't notice any truncation.

Normally, he mumbles something that sounds like "Allen Klein" right before the music starts.

The disc sounds OK, but a little "flat." Not quite as good as the earlier ones, from first impressions (which are subject to change).
