Of course, the box set lifted plenty from other CDs. As far as stuff from MG:TVBOTW being lifted from it, the only stuff I could think of would be I'm A Boy, and *possibly* ICSFM, Magic Bus, and You Better You Bet (maybe Squeeze Box and WAY too, although I'm not sure).

And, like I've never mentioned it before or something, the short mono mix of Magic Bus really sucks, IMO. Pretty crazy that the (awesome, IMO) stereo mix didn't show up in the UK till 2002, apparently.

Just got it today. I'll have more when I have more time, but your Watchdog question re: AAA on My Generation missing backing vocals was answered as follows: Um, yeah, the engineer screwed up. Dunno how. If it goes to a second pressing, we'll correct it. (There also a bit of comedy where they asked their go-to guy Astley about it and he referred them to Talmy...)

There was also a lame "there wasn't room" excuse offered as to why no lyrics and original art in the Tommy DE.

Other Who nuggets:

- "Love Reign O'er Me" on Then and Now is the "rare" single edit
- "Who Are You" is also the single edit
- "Won't Get Fooled Again" remastered to sound "smoother"
- Otherwise, all songs are the same mastering as Ultimate Collection

- Astley: Tommy DVD-A "exactly the same" as SACD plus Pete interview video
- Astley working on new DVD of 1970 Isle Of Wight for this summer (tie-in to 2004 Who show there), also possible DVD of Boston 2002 show

- "Singles Box 2" planned if the first one does well

There was also a Watchdog item about Stones SACDs having different albums on the two layers and showing up in the wrong boxes, etc.. Abcko's replacing 'em.

No problem. Didn't have time last night, but can probably get to it tonight.

I finally found someone online who was sharing the singles box (unfortunately, in poorly-encoded 128k/sec format). I've got ICSFM so far...it's the original stereo mix, as is Someone's Coming. I've Been Away is a stereo mix. Happy Jack is the fake stereo (again).

"In the City" seems to be the AQO narrow stereo mix? I wonder if this is legit...

Can this possibly be real? "Circles" is the TWSMG album version, not the single/rarities version?

Someone's Coming had an "original stereo mix"? I know it was mono (vinyl dub, even) on Rarities.

My bad...it's mono. It sounds like it might be *slightly* reprocessed, though. The MP3s in question are really awful.
