What's the best on CD (official or otherwise)? If the answer's on bootlegs (and it has to be for albums 5-8 ), does anybody have them and willing to make a trade?
I heard a set of Rubber Soul mono mixes on mp3 that sound great AND do NOT sound like vinyl dubs - you go to the fades and jack the volume up to some insane degree, and you hear no surface noise, not the kind you'd hear on other vinyl dubs (which I had of other mono Beatles Lp's for comparison, also on mp3).
I've MFSL dubs of the first eight in stereo so if anyone wants to make a trade with those, feel free to PM me.
Best place for the mono mixes of first eight Beatles albums?

Probably Dr. Ebbets, those are very clean sounding (at least the few that I've heard) though the music eq can sometimes be hit or miss.
I know the newsgroups have lossless dubs every now and again, might be a good place to start.

I have the Dr. Ebbetts versions in FLAC if you want them. I adjusted the fadeouts because I don't like how Ebbetts lets the hiss linger on forever at the end. For "Magical Mystery Tour" I re-assembled the US mono LP using the Ebbetts singles & EP collections. I don't like his US LP. I also have a few extra things like the "Hollywood Bowl" LP and "Get Back".
