Disraeli Gears DE coming 9/28

Sorry for dredging up this ancient thread. Has anyone compared the DG demos on the DE to the TWTD box? I know they are in mono on the box and stereo on the DE...

It's been a while. I'll try to if I get some time.

I'm still amazed by how bad those BBC tracks sound.

Yeah, they are terrible.

While I don't have the MFSL DG I do have the MFSL Live Cream vol 1 which contains Lawdy Mama. I compared the DE and the MFSL for this track and thought the differences were very subtle. The DE might be tipped a little in the midrange but I can't say I prefer on over the other. Even the volume levels were fairly close..

The DE of Disraeli Gears is actually painful to listen to up loud - Eric Clapton's guitar is extremely peaky compared with the MFSL. Not so obvious on headphones, but quite so on speakers.
