I'm mixed. I wish it were drier. That said, I like the idea of Wild Honey getting reworked. What a marginal album that is! The Smiley-Smile-esque minimalist production (what's WITH that piano?) also undersells how good some of the songs are. "I'd Love Just Once to See You" stands out because, like, it actually has an arrangement.

I agree, with some reservations. It took me years to come to appreciate the post-Smile Capitol-era albums, but now that I do I truly love them as they are. They have a ... sort of eccentric charm, I guess I'd say. (And I kinda like that funky piano sound.)
