Problems with Keane dual disc.

Thought I'd try this here before possibly trying sh.tv.

Purchased Keane's Hopes and Fears on dual disc because it was, well, $6.00 cheaper than SACD. I had no issues playing either side in my DVD player or my walkman.

However, when I was playing the 5.1 version of the album, I noticed the sound would keep dropping out all around. I tried the videos (which are also in 5.1) and the sound did the same thing.

Is it possible that this is an authoring issue that might be resolved on another copy or might it be some sort of compatability error between the player and the disc?

'Authoring' and player compatibility are related issues, though I'm told dualdiscs can having playing problems simply based on their construction too. I doubt buying another copy would solve your problem , unless there's been a re-release.
