So I finally saw The Point again a few days ago, and decided it was nigh time to get into Nilsson. I wandered into Borders on a fact-finding mission and saw the following:
a) Pandemonium Shadow Show/Aerial Ballet/Aerial Pandemonium Ballet 3-for-2 for $24
b) Skidoo (I think) and the Point two fer for $18.
Now, I think the above are fairly good deals, even if I could probably find them for cheap elsewhere. Thing is, this almost *screams* of a caveat, something like "sure, they look like a good bargain, but they were mastered from damaged 6th gen production tapes by an incontinent elephant."
Do I go for them, or is there a better way to start into the catalog?

Do a search at amazon.com.
There are a number of new things out there, including a US, slipcased, "The Point", which just came out; it may be different from the import you have. I believe, there will be a DVD release of "The Point" soon, too. The supposed date will be August 19, via Triumph Marketing DVD label.
I believe, also, there are a few japanese only imports, like "Knnilsson" w/ bonus tracks, as well.
If you're a hardcore fan, look for a "public domain" issue on various labels, of Harry's verrrrrrry early song demos.
As for boots, the only one I've seen, circulating, is a short collection of BBC performances. There may be, circulating, various issues of work with John Lennon, too.
